Dead Zombie Land
Take out as many zombies as possible by exploding near them in this nice, but short action game #Zombie game #Arcade game #Zombie explosion #Explode #Explosion #Arcade
Zombies are the perfect cannon fodder for both movies and video games, especially since no one has come forward to defend the mindless husks from being misrepresented in front of the audience. Hence, they are bound to stick around for at least a few more years, given the fact that there’s no end in sight when it comes to ideas featuring the undead and a post-apocalyptic world.
Dead Zombie Land is a very simple action game in which your only purpose is to kill as many zombies as possible. There are no guns and no complex gameplay mechanics to worry about, since all you have to do is position yourself near the biggest zombie cluster and explode. It takes a push of a button to do so, which means that the game has the potential to get boring rather quickly.
To begin with, there are multiple characters to choose from, as well as more than can be unlocked after you gain enough currency. On the other hand, they do not seem to have any skills or abilities, so their appearance is the only thing that changes. While this is sometimes worth it in bigger games, cosmetic changes have no real effect in this case, which is a bit of a bummer.
You are forced to take out a minimum number of zombies every time in order to avoid the game over screen, although the rules for this are not very clear, not to mention the fact that you only have ten seconds to move around the map until you automatically explode. Sometimes six zombies seem to be enough, while other times not even seven of them get you to the next stage. Granted, you can choose to continue by spending in-game currency, but it’s not usually worth it.
As for the graphics, the game looks and feels very basic, but that’s not a problem in a casual production such as this one. The maps are pretty different and original, but the level design is basic and unimpressive, not to mention confusing sometimes. Some of the stages make it impossible to kill more than a handful zombies at a time, especially since your character moves so slowly.
Although Dead Zombie Land can certainly keep you busy at first, the game becomes repetitive and boring after only a few minutes, mainly because nothing changes or evolves along the way. Hence, more content and better gameplay mechanics are needed to make the game a real hit with the casual crowds.
