Dead Void 2
Survive in a town full of zombies and use your weapons to stay alive for as long as possible #Zombie game #Survival game #Zombie survival #Survival #Zombie #Survive
Zombies are an overused concept in movies and video games, and it’s no wonder that most people are pretty tired of killing the undead. Even so, there could be a few more original ideas left in the genre, but then again it’s a lot easier to revamp a classic concept and just try to make as much money as possible until people realize there’s nothing new to your idea.
Dead Void 2 is a first-person shooter in which you have to explore a town full of undead monsters and make sure you kill them before they get a chance to infect you as well. The gameplay is as simple as it can get in the genre, and there’s no story to talk about either, which means that the experience gets repetitive and boring in a rush, especially if you are a veteran of the genre.
To begin with, there are barely any explanations for what happened and how the zombie infestation came to be. The whole story is explained in the game’s description, which tells you that the main character is just someone who needs to survive in a town full of monsters until help arrives. Thus, the gameplay is the most important element, given the fact that there’s nothing else to distract you.
Unfortunately, that is not actually the case, because there is nothing innovative about the mechanics. In fact, they are a lot less refined than what other games are offering at the moment, including other zombie survival shooters. Hence, it’s difficult to see why you would choose this one over them, especially when nothing else is particularly impressive either.
The graphics do not make a lasting impression either, given the fact that they as repetitive as they can get when it comes to textures and architecture. It feels like you are exploring a town that has always been empty anyway, because it certainly has no soul and no personality. Not much can be said about the sound quality either, but at least that can be disabled if you get too annoyed by it.
In the end, Dead Void 2 feels like an unfinished project at this point, and it’s not really worth your time unless you have nothing else to turn to. Thus, you are much better off with any of the other games in the genre.
