Crazy Killer

Crazy Killer is a multiplayer shooter in which players get to be either a victim, a killer or the sheriff.
Innovating in multiplayer games seems to be much harder these days with so many titles that focus exclusively on this aspect. It often happens for games to only have a multiplayer mode, and this is true to Crazy Killer as well. If you’re looking for some meaningful single player experience, then you’ve come to the wrong place. On the other hand, if you’re looking for a great multiplayer experience then you’re also in the wrong place.
Many studios are doing multiplayer-only games because it’s a low-hanging fruit. They don’t have to mess around with a storyboard, with characters, level design, voices, artwork, and a ton more. When you build a multiplayer-only game, you have a fixed amount of assets that you use all the time. It’s a type of game easier to make, but with much lower expectations.
The gameplay for Crazy Killer is a combination of a multiplayer and a social game of “who’s the killer.” The idea is pretty simple. Players get into a lobby and get into the map without choosing who they want to. The game decides the roles for everyone. There is a killer, a sheriff, and the rest are civilians.
The roles are simple. The killer tries to kill the civilians; the civilians need to point out the killer to the sheriff, and the sheriff needs to kill the murderer. It’s a pretty simple recipe. Each level has a time limit, so whatever you need to do in your role will have to be done in three minutes.
The idea itself is not bad, but the game has a number of problems. It’s still under development, so the animations and the player interactions might change in the future. For now, they are simply terrible.
Crazy Killer can be fun if you’re playing it with your friends, but it’s not so much fun when you’re playing it with strangers. In any case, it’s completely free to play, so you can always give it a try.
