Cookie Blast Fever - Match 3: Sweet Baking Journey

Match three puzzle games have always been very popular with the general public due to their simplicity, the subtle rewarding system based on high scores, and the fact that they can be wrapped up in any packaging imaginable, such as that of sugary sweets as with most popular titles. Cookie Blast Fever - Match 3: Sweet Baking Journey doesn't stray too much from that formula, allowing you to enjoy short matches while feasting your eyes on an assortment of colors and high-glucose rewards.

At first glance, the game lacks in any type or personality, looking more like an unfinished copy if you've tried other titles such as those from the Candy Crush series. The animations and special effects are OK, but far too simplistic, and younger audiences will probably go for the more lavish and colorful aforementioned titles. This doesn't mean that the game is boring at all, just that it is very forgettable and easy to mistake with any other when trying to re-install it after a long period of time.

The game has enough levels to keep you occupied for a good couple of hours, and each level is designed with a different shape and objective, preventing the game from becoming boring too quickly.  If you do manage to finish all levels, then you can try to beat you scores on all levels, as you will be graded between one and three stars based on your performance. The game doesn't seem to have any type of story, which may be a bit of a turn-off for some users who like to think of themselves as part of something bigger when finishing a level.

Cookie Blast Fever - Match 3: Sweet Baking Journey has a long way to go if it ever wants to reach the heights of other sugar-themed match-three games, but it still an enjoyable title nonetheless.
