Candy World: Heart of Heaven Tome III Demo

Fun games do not necessarily need to make any kind of sense, as long as they keep you playing and the gameplay is fun. On the other hand, they should not pose too much trouble from a technical point of view, otherwise it gets pretty difficult to enjoy them properly. Moreover, the interface needs to be friendly and intuitive, in order to make it simple for everyone to enjoy the game.

Candy World: Heart of Heaven Tome III is a third-person adventure game in which you get to control a dog, in order to collect various magical items and use them to defeat an evil Queen. At a first glance, the game can appear to be a tad too childish to be enjoyed by adults, but that is only if you’ve got something against butterflies and dreamy landscapes.

As previously mentioned, the story revolves around Candy, the main character, who must stop the evil Spade Queen from destroying the beautiful Candy World. In this episode, the action takes place in a slightly more distant land, called simply the Medieval World. Here, things are not much different than they are in the rest of the realm, but the landscape is just as unusual.

Your main goal throughout the missions is to collect a variety of items, including bones and a wide array of candy, which rewards you with points instead. Every map has a certain number of items that can be collected and a portal opens up after you have managed to gather them all. There are plenty of other maps to explore as well, so the experience can last for quite a while.

As far as the visual quality is concerned, the graphics have been improved after the last episode, even if they are not exactly top-notch now either. The textures are not bad, but the gloom and various other post-processing effects are way too exaggerated sometimes. The maps are mostly devoid of any kind of detail, which makes the exploration bit a tad boring.

In the end, Candy World: Heart of Heaven Tome III is not exactly attractive to anyone past the age of 10, but the kids can have a blast playing it. The colorful environments and lovable characters are a nice touch, although there might be a struggle with the controls.
