Angry Red Button

Repetitive tasks have the power to annoy anyone, regardless of how conditioned the person in question might be. It’s not uncommon for people to snap because they cannot take it anymore, which is when bad things tend to happen. Granted, you are rarely encouraged to keep annoying someone just to see what happens.

Angry Red Button is a casual game in which you are encouraged to keep pressing a button that doesn’t want to be pressed. There are no points to receive and no high scores to achieve, but the experience is quite challenging and engaging. In essence, this is a reflex game, which means that you have to struggle to keep up with the pace or give up and acknowledge your defeat.

There is even a story to guide you along, one that presents you the journey of the red button. As it happens, it all starts with a couple of buttons on what appears to be a keypad. While they are having a conversation, the red button complains that he cannot take the constant clicking anymore, which prompts the other buttons to encourage him to just leave and never look back.

Although most of the time you just have to struggle in order to click on the button and pass the level, there are stages where more is required of you. Hence, you might have to tackle various puzzles and challenging riddles, although they are rather few and usually not as difficult as in a true adventure game. On the other hand, it might take some practice to move your mouse both quickly and accurately.

As far as the technical aspect is concerned, you have to remember that this is a Flash-based game, so both the graphics and the general mechanics are as simple as they can get under the circumstances. The visual quality is not bad, but it’s devoid of any meaningful artwork, and the backgrounds are usually quite bland and barren as well.

Angry Red Button is not much of an original concept, but it does include some nice jokes and a few challenging levels. Hence, if you are willing to sacrifice your good mood and risk getting frustrated in the span of a minute, this can certainly do the trick.
