Air Typer is an educational game that aims to help you learn how to type faster on your keyboard. All you have to do is to type words that appear on the screen, printed on some tiny blimps.

The goal of the game is to clear as many words as possible in a fixed amount of time. To remove them, you have to type the word that is written on them as fast as you can. The balloons come with words of three or four letters or with one letter at a time.

In terms of graphics, Air Typer looks nice. It displays simple graphics which should be appealing to a child that is just getting started with computer typing. Apart from the balloons, you also get an on-screen plane that represents you. The little flyer will face each blimp you eliminate, but it doesn't shoot any kinds of projectiles, it’s probably one of the most violence free games ever.

On a challenge scale, you can’t really consider Air Typer as a difficult game. Unless you’re forty and just started using a computer, this game should be handed out to kids mostly.

It features over thirty levels to pass and can be switched between three levels of difficulty. A game can be saved and progress continued whenever it’s play time again. Even though it is a simple and harmless game, a losing condition still exists.

If one or more balloons pass you, you can lose the game and have to start over again. In case the screen fills up with too many balloons and you know you can’t type all the words in time, you can use the zapper. That is your secret weapon that can eliminate all the balloons from the screen in one go. It can't be used all the time, it charges up as you clear words along the game.

To wrap it up, Air Typer is a handy and very appropriate game for children who want to learn how to type faster. It’s easy to play, cute in graphics and unfolds at a steady pace with which a child can easily cope.
