Play! is an emulator that aims to bring your beloved PlayStation 2 games to the PC, by trying to emulate the console's CPU using bits of code instead of hardware. As such, you should be able to enjoy a variety of games from a long-gone era without having to pray that your PS2 still works, or that the CDs are in proper shape.

The application looks and feels a lot like a virtual machine, because in many regards it actually is. It supports disk images such as ISOs, actual CD-ROM drives, as well as ELF files. In essence, you should be able to run the games regardless of what format you have them in.

It should also be mentioned that the tool is still in the early development stages, which means that it can only handle a handful of games as of right now. Not only that, but even those are liable to fail or run poorly, so don't expect too much yet. However, with enough work and dedication, maybe its creator can provide the public with a sleek and functional emulator.
