Open world shooters are very popular nowadays, but the trend is definitely not a new one. Even classics such as the original Deus Ex allowed the players to explore fairly large maps at will, but true open worlds have only been around for a few years. Hence, Far Cry Primal is one of the many options at your disposal nowadays, and unlike many similar games, this one puts you in a very different environment.

As the name implies, the action takes place in prehistoric times, name during the Stone Age. Instead of fighting with guns and grenades, you have to use bows, spears and all sorts of other contraptions, although somehow the grenades are still here, albeit in a slightly different form. Not only that, but you also get to use vehicles, which in this case are actually tamed animals that can be ridden in battle.

The Far Cry series has always impressed in terms of graphics, and Primal is no exception either. The prehistoric world is incredibly colorful and enjoyable, as are the characters that are part of it. Animals play a very crucial role as well, and the environment can be used against your enemies too sometimes. Thus, there's plenty of fun to be had if you are willing to forget about machine guns for a while.

The difficulty level is still up there, even if you can customize the game in this regard. One of the most annoying things about Far Cry Primal is the fact that the map is covered in fog at first, but that can be solved with the help of this cheat. Hence, a simple press of a button removes the entire fog and allows you to explore without having any surprises along the way.
