EARTH DEFENSE FORCE 4.1 The Shadow of New Despair is a third-person shooter with fast-paced gameplay mechanics and a lot of action at any given time. In fact, killing hundreds of enemies per second is your main activity throughout the game, and it doesn't get any less fun along the way, especially since your character gets stronger by collecting better weapons.

As it's always the case with such games, the story starts with the Earth being attacked by a race of alien insects called Ravagers, which have only one purpose: destroy everything around them. The Earth Defense Force is a military organization that employs the best soldiers around the world, and you are one of them in the attempt to stop the alien invasion and save the planet.

The game is played from a third-person point of view, although it's not very different from an FPS when it comes to gameplay mechanics. Speaking of which, there are all sorts of ludicrous weapons and combos you can achieve along the way, especially since you have access to insane weapons and even a variety of vehicles, such as powerful attack helicopters.

It doesn't matter how powerful the weapons are, on the other hand, if the aliens come in great numbers and make survival almost impossible sometimes. The game is designed to be challenging, but maybe some of you just want to see the story unfold and not worry too much about killing things.

The trainer at hand is not exactly the best solution for this, given the fact that it allows you to use a jetpack at all times, but it does come in handy every now and again. It can be a lot easier to navigate the environment and deal with enemies from a vantage point, but then again you are not invincible, so the challenge is not eliminated altogether.
