CheatBook DataBase 2017 is the new edition of the popular application that provides you with thousands of useful cheats and easter eggs for almost every game out there. This new version comes with a plethora of improvements and new features, some of which make it even easier to find what you are looking for, as well as make modifications to certain entries and filter the results with ease.

Just like before, the cheats are split into categories, namely PC, console and walkthroughs. However, just like mentioned above, you can apply special filters now that allow you to constrain the displayed data to the desired topics. On top of that, you can also find out more about certain games by following external links, although most of the information is contained within the application.

The console section is nicely designed to include separate categories for the most popular consoles out there, including PlayStation 1, 2 and 3, as well as Xbox, or classic hardware such as Sega or Gameboy Color. Naturally, easter eggs are more prevalent in this section, because it's not as easy to input cheatcodes on a device that lacks a keyboard or a development console.

Another new feature comes in the form of statistics, which allows you to further filter the results based on the desired input and view graphs and numbers that provide you with insight on the subject. Although it probably won't be of much use to most users, it's nice to know that the feature is available if you ever need it.

Lastly, the walkthrough database has been extended with all the popular titles from last year, so it's simple to find guides that take you through the desired game step-by-step. This is obviously not the same as cheating, and it's actually very helpful when you find yourself stuck with a quest or a mission and don't know how to continue.
