Anno 2070 is a city-building and economics simulation game that takes you into a possible future in which the Arctic ice cap has melted and a select group of people have to create and expand new pockets of civilized life on new grounds.

The game offers three playable factions, each with its specific traits, advantages and disadvantages, called The Eden Initiative, Global Trust and S.A.A.T. Each player can customize his or her Ark vessel in order to moderately influence game progress.

Anno 2070 also offers World Events, which are missions that need to be accomplished by having all nations work together. Each event has a different task and completing one or all of them grants each player certain rewards.
