Video game developer Hammerfall Publishing is announcing that a new update, labeled 1.2, is being launched for its Warhammer 40,000: Regicide title, introducing a range of new content for gamers to enjoy and tweaking the core mechanics of the experience.

Gamers can now get access to the Raven Guard Space Marine chapter and the Snakebite Ork clan, each of them with a unique look and gameplay options.

The studio adds, "New time-of-day options let you immerse yourself in the foreboding shadows of dusk, or the grim darkness of a night-time battlefield, and illuminate the craven foe in the blazing light of many updated visual effects."

Warhammer 40,000: Regicide is also getting tweaks to the way multiplayer works and the developers are encouraging gamers to offer feedback in order to add more improvement in the next update.

The title has been offered on Steam Early Access since May and does not have a full launch date yet.

Warhammer 40,000: Regicide is designed to mix the science fiction universe dominated by violence with the core mechanics of chess.

Games Workshop has been licensing its world and characters to a wide variety of video game developers, with the fantasy Warhammer setting mixed with the core strategy concepts created by The Creative Assembly for the next Total War title.
