The end of the year causes all of us to cast an inquisitive retrospective glance, and the same stands for video games. Turbine's Holiday Producer's Letter looks back at the important moments of the year, then details the next set of features planned for DDO during 2014.

The team feels that the biggest successes of the year were enhancements, Storm Horn Mountains and epic reincarnation. On the opposite pole, the team lists the Mabar festival and item duplication exploits as their biggest misses, as joystiq reports.

The letter then proceeds to announce their commitment to delivering new content during the following year. They say the first update will introduce the level 30 cap and two raids in the dwarf ruins of Thunderholme, with the possibility to add another one later in the year.

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Dungeons & Dragons franchise, a new tribute module will be introduced, The Haunted Halls of Eveningstar. The dungeon's extended module will use Ed Greenwood's unpublished notes and will feature the writer's voice as Dungeon Master.

For additional information, the letter is available on the official Dungeons & Dragons Online forums.
