CD Projekt Red confirms that, in order to get a common version convention for The Witcher 3 across PC, PS4, and Xbox One, a 1.06 patch won't appear on the two consoles. Instead, there will only be update 1.07, which launches later this week across all three platforms.

The Witcher 3 launched back in May and, since then, developer CD Projekt Red has released several updates and patches across PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

Unfortunately, due to the certification process on consoles, the PC version of the game got one version number ahead of them. As of right now, the PC edition is at version 1.06, while consoles are at 1.05.

With the upcoming patch 1.07, which was confirmed earlier this week, CD Projekt Red wants to bring all versions of the game to the same number.

The studio's Community Manager, Marcin Momot, confirms on Twitter that PS4 and Xbox One editions of The Witcher 3 won't receive any patch 1.06, only the upcoming 1.07.

As such, console owners shouldn't worry missing out on anything and shouldn't try to search for a missing update 1.06 for their versions of The Witcher 3. As of yet, patch 1.07 doesn't have a concrete release date, so expect to hear more soon.
