The development team at Capcom is announcing that the legendary Ken is returning for the upcoming Street Fighter V and offers gamers a look at the new incarnation of the character in an official trailer.

The footage will be surprising for some long-term fans of the fighting game series as it shows off an entirely new look for the character and suggests that his powers have also been tweaked.

Capcom states, "One of the key protagonists in the legendary Street Fighter series, Ken brings an array of new abilities to Street Fighter V, where his tricky mix-ups and flashy combos have the ability to bewilder opponents and deal huge damage."

The already announced line-up of combatants for Street Fighter V includes Ryu, Chun-Li, Charlie Nash, M. Bison, Cammy and Birdie.

A rumor has also suggested that gamers will be able to use: Alex, Urien, Karin Kanzuki and R. Mika.

Street Fighter V is created using the Unreal Engine 4 tech from Epic Games and the development team wants to offer gamers more options for defensive action and to give them ways to interact with the various environments.

Capcom says that the launch will take place on the PlayStation 4 and the PC in March of 2016 and a beta period for the title will run on the Sony device starting on July 23.
