Blizzard confirms that it's going to organize a very special live stream for its upcoming StarCraft 2: Legacy of the Void title on September 13. Among the details that will be shared are the actual release date, the opening cinematic, as well as many of the new things coming to the real-time strategy experience.

StarCraft 2 has been a long time coming, and Blizzard's decision to splinter the title into three separate releases has caused some backlash in the community, especially since a lot of time has passed since the launch of the second chapter - Heart of the Swarm - back in 2013.

The third and final installment, Legacy of the Void, is nearing its completion, as an alpha stage and even a short prologue have been released to those who pre-ordered the game.

Now, the studio is getting ready to debut the actual release date for the strategy experience, and confirms on its website that it will do so as part of a bigger live stream on September 13.

At that time, the studio is going to showcase the opening cinematic of StarCraft 2: Legacy of the Void, as well as its launch date. A special preview of what's to come in the expansion, complete with feedback from Blizzard's employees, is also going to take place, so make sure to tune in.
