A set of three screenshots comparing the Xbox One and Xbox 360 versions of Rise of the Tomb Raider has just appeared online, pitting against each other the current and last-gen versions of the open-world action adventure experience.

Rise of the Tomb Raider continues the new journey of Lara Croft that kicked off in Tomb Raider several years ago. The game already got plenty of different details, videos, and screenshots in recent months, as Crystal Dynamics, Square Enix, and Microsoft are putting the finishing touches on the title, ahead of its debut in November on Xbox One and Xbox 360.

While so far only the Xbox One version of the game got showcased to fans, the first few images of the Xbox 360 edition have just appeared online, via AGB.

The direct comparisons depict the Xbox One version above and the older Xbox 360 iteration below.

While there's a distinct difference when it comes to textures, lighting efforts, or even the character models, overall the Xbox 360 edition looks quite good and seems not to lose that badly in front of the current-gen installment.

Rise of the Tomb Raider debuts this November on Xbox One and Xbox 360. The PC version is set to appear in early 2016, while the PS4 edition is going to launch towards the end of 2016, once the timed exclusivity deal expires.
