The development team at Obsidian is delivering the first update for the recently introduced The White March expansion for Pillars of Eternity, which is designed to deliver both bug fixes and some improvements to the general gameplay.

At the moment, the changes are offered to all those who have the Steam version of the game, and they will be also delivered via Origin and GOG in a few days.

The full list of changes can be seen by clicking on the button at the end of this blog post, with the biggest tweaks being support for Achievements on GOG Galaxy as well as access to the characters that are supposed to offer initial quests linked to The White March.

Obsidian is also promoting two novels written by Carrie Patel, the narrative designer of Pillars of Eternity, who has created Cities and Thrones: Recoletta Book 2, and Andrew Rowe, the systems designer of Armored Warfare, who penned Forging Divinity.

The White March opens up Pillars of Eternity with a new major area and series of quests lines while giving gamers access to two new companions and other improvements to the overall gameplay.

The development team promises that in the next update it will start offering some details about the second part of the expansion, which is supposed to be launched before the end of this year.
