The development team at Ghost Games and publisher Electronic Arts are planning to launch the new installment in the Need for Speed series on November 3 and the companies are now ready to talk more about the graphics quality of the new racing experience.

In a new article, Bryn Alban, the vehicle art director, explains that the process to create one car for the game is very complex and involves careful analysis of real-world models and plenty of work to transform them into virtual replicas.

The team is also sharing a number of comparison shots that show how close Need for Speed can come to looking real.

Plenty of fans are incredulous and believe that the images have been doctored in order to look better than they would in the actual racing title.

Others think that Ghost Games is showing off how a potential Photo Mode for the title will render cars rather than screenshots linked to actual gameplay.

The new racing experience from Electronic Arts will use the Frostbite 3 engine and is designed to offer gameplay mechanics that will appeal to all fans of the franchise.

Need for Speed can be played on the PC, the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4.
