The next Mass Effect game will be launched in 2016

Bioware hasn't revealed too much about the upcoming Mass Effect: Andromeda that is supposed to land next year, so it's up to the community to fill in the gaps. One of those gaps includes the main character in the new series, and someone in the community probably figured it out.

When you're a true fan of the Mass Effect game, you go to any length to find out more about anything remotely related with that subject. Since Bioware is distributing the information very carefully, there is not too much material to speculate on.

What we do know is that the Mass Effect story is moving to another galaxy (duh!) and that the main character won't be Sheppard. In fact, the commander just said goodbye to the series in a very touching trailer.

A user noticed a small dog tag in a frame from the latest N7 trailer that was presented this year. It's so small that it's hard to distinguish between Ryder and Rider, but it's one of these two.

Also, it would make sense since Sally Ride is the first American woman in space and Alan Sheppard was the first American man in space. Also, users noticed that the name of the song is Ghost Riders in the Sky, by Johnny Cash.

Since this is the Internet and the Internet is always right, we have to take it for granted. If this is not true, someone at Bioware will probably make it true since this is gold material right here. Check out the Reddit topic that originated the entire discussion.
