Video game developer NetherRealms Studio is announcing that a new character for Mortal Kombat X, the earthquake launching Tremor, will be launched on July 21 via the Kombat Pack season pass for the game.

Players will also be able to get it as a standalone purchase one week later, and he will be offered in both single and multiplayer.

The new trailer for Mortal Kombat X focuses on the special powers that Tremor will deliver, which, as the name implies, will be focused on attacking at range with earthquakes and on throwing rocks.

He seems like an interesting choice for those who already master the roster of the title and are looking for an entirely new challenge.

The development team has not said how many more extra characters will be launched for the fighting game or if there are other additions that will be introduced in the coming months.

Mortal Kombat X was designed to deliver the classic mechanics and the ultra-violence of the series, while also introducing environmental interactions and a unique story for each character.

Fans of the game can already get Jason Vorhees, the Predator and Tanya, and there are also extra skins to download for already existing characters.
