A brand new patch for the Minecraft Windows 10 Edition beta stage is now available for download from within the game, bringing options to toggle the field-of-view, not to mention fixes to ensure that full screen and sprinting work as intended.

While Minecraft started off as an indie project on PC, the game is now dominating all sorts of other platforms, including consoles, mobile devices, and much more.

With the release of the Windows 10 operating system, as well as in the context of the Microsoft purchase of the franchise and its developer, a special Minecraft Windows 10 Edition was launched last month.

The new version is rebuilt in C++, as opposed to Java, and promises many big upcoming features.

Until then, a special update is available for beta users, in the form of patch 0.12.2.0, according to the official blog.

The update allows players to tweak the field-of-view (FoV), while fixing many other bugs. Playing in full screen, sprinting, unlocking achievements, and many other situations should no longer produce glitches or crashes.

Expect Mojang and Microsoft to keep on patching the experience with more bug fixes and new features, as they've confirmed that they have no plans for a Minecraft 2 anytime soon.
