The development team at Dontnod Entertainment and publisher Square Enix are announcing that they are planning to launch the fifth and final episode of Life Is Strange, called Polarized, on October 20 of this year on all platforms.

In the official announcement, the producer working on the title says that development is almost done and will be soon submitted to platform holders.

He adds, "Many things can change in the lead up to release, but the team are working really hard to try and hit this date. We know the wait may be a bit longer than some of you were hoping for, but we want to ensure Episode 5 is the best it can be."

The team also praises gamers for the way they have reacted to the four episodes of Life Is Strange that have already been launched.

The video game delivered its first installment at the start of the year, allowing gamers to take control of Maxine Caulfield, a high school student who has the power to rewind time in order to avoid past mistakes and progress through the story.

Life Is Strange uses this core mechanics in some interesting ways and manages to deliver solid characters for the player to interact with, but some of the twists and turns of the narrative focus a little too much on the supernatural.
