Half-Life 3 is a mythical beast that shows up from time to time to help us remember that Valve used to make great single-player games. Now, a new rumor has been started, but the community is not falling for it this time.

A major Steam leak has happened today, and a number of games have been revealed as coming to the PC platform. One of the titles mentioned among them is Half-Life 3, but the PC gamers have been fooled for too long, and they haven’t even flinched at the sight.

A new entry in the Steam Database has been spotted with the name Half Life 3, but there are some issues right from the start. The main problem is that Half-Life should be written with a hyphen, and not separately. The other thing is that any developer can create a depo with that name although it’s not clear why anyone would do that unless it’s trolling the PC gamers.

This is not the first time when information about a possible Half-Life 3 depo surfaces, so it’s easy to understand why this is difficult to swallow. In any case, it would be weird for the first details about an HL3 release to pop out in a leak about other games.

If true, it would be one of the most anticipated games of all time, but we’ll just have to contain our enthusiasm.
