The only solution is to turn off Nvidia Share

One of the features implemented in GeForce Experience seems to be causing some interference with various gamepads, and the best solution seems to be turning it off. It's called Share, and it can be easily disabled.

The new Share feature was added all the way back in August, but only now people are noticing that the application is causing them problems. To be fair, even if Geforce Experience sounds like a good idea on paper, it still needs a lot of work and the community doesn't really like it. What's even worse is that GameReady drivers, releases made especially for new games, will only be installed through this application.

A Reddit user observed that his controller started to work again once he turned off Nvidia Share, and other gamers confirmed this to be true. It's likely that the problems will be sorted out in one of the next updates for GeForce Experience, but until then if you're using both the Share feature and a gamepad, it's just tough luck.

Nvidia will likely implement more features in this app, and it's investing heavily in it. In fact, betting that people will be using it to keep their drivers updated, on the Windows platform, shows just how serious they are. You can find the Share option in Preferences and users only have to press a button to stop it.
