Video game developer Telltale Games has announced that it is planning to deliver a release date for Game of Thrones: Episode 5 - A Nest of Vipers at some point later in the week, which probably means tomorrow or Friday.

The studio is also ready to offer a look at some screens from the coming experience, which will apparently feature well-known figures from the TV show, including Cersei and Tyrion Lannister, alongside the familiar members of the Forrester family.

Game of Thrones: Episode 5 - A Nest of Vipers will be offered on the PC, the PlayStation 4, the Xbox One, older home consoles, and mobile devices.

The episodic series is designed to allow gamers to experience a new side of the aftermath of the War of Five Kings, using a set of characters that were entirely created from scratch.

Telltale Games will offer another sixth episode for the first season before the end of the year.

The company has suggested that a second story arc featuring the Forrester family will be offered in 2016, although it is unclear what period of time it will cover.

The studio is currently working on a new Story mode experience linked to Minecraft, which will have Patton Oswalt playing the main character.
