AMD is making a push for the holidays with a free game

AMD is preparing for the holidays and has revealed that AMD Radeon R9-Fury X products will now ship with Star Wars Battlefront.

Star Wars Battlefront is one of the big releases of 2015 and the fact that AMD users will get this really new game with their video cards is extremely good news. Their competition, NVidia, didn’t have any major plans for the end of the year, so people who want to play the latest Star Wars Battlefront might be attracted by this offer.

“Following a ripple in the force, AMD has announced that starting November 17th, qualifying purchases from participating retailers of an AMD Radeon R9 Fury graphics card will receive a free copy of Star Wars Battlefront. As of December 14th, this now also includes AMD Radeon R9-Fury X products,” AMD representatives said in a press release.

The promotion is set to last until January 31, 2016, but users must redeem the codes until February 29, 2016.

A new version of AMD Radeon R9-Fury X has been released, and it comes with only 4GB of memory, which should make it a lot more competitive and will give the NVidia products a run of their money.

EA’s Star Wars Battlefront wasn’t exactly the success that everyone was expecting, but it wasn’t exactly a flop. This is probably one of the reasons a $60 (€60) game is being made available with AMD Radeon R9-Fury X.
