Bethesda has just started a brand new video series for its upcoming Fallout 4 4 post-apocalyptic role-playing experience, this time focusing on the SPECIAL stats that govern the playable character. The first chapter focuses, as expected, on Strength, telling fans what the ability nets their characters.

Fallout 4 launches worldwide in November, and the hype surrounding the RPG is reaching critical mass, especially since all the different videos, screenshots, or details released by Bethesda make the game sound quite appealing to veteran fans as well as newcomers.

A staple of the series, the SPECIAL mechanic, is, of course, making a comeback in Fallout 4, and in order to get those who've yet to experience Fallout games an introduction, Bethesda has started a weekly video series.

Every bit of footage focuses on one of the SPECIAL stats, and as expected, the first one starts with Strength.

As you can see in the educational video below, Strength deals with some pretty important aspects for a character. First up, it determines just how much you can carry in your inventory before you get over-encumbered.

It also makes a difference when you want to use melee weapons, from knives to bats, Power Fists, and so on.

Next week's episode should deal with Perception and its own advantages. Expect to see the rest of the SPECIAL stats as we get closer to launch in November.
