Playing Pro Cycling Manager 2015 and Crusader Kings II

The Tour de France is ending its second week, filled with mountain action, and I plan to continue to run my long-term campaign with Trek Factory Racing, which includes not just this race but also the spring classics and the other grand tours and major week-long races.

But between watching the real world competition and delivering the daily dairy for Le Tour, I can get a little overwhelmed by the title and that's when I am ready to devote more time to the new Sorcerer King experience from Stardock.

The title introduces an asymmetrical structure to the gameplay and has a lot of variety built in, the kind of title that I can see myself playing for months from now on.

Crusader Kings II is also back on my radar because Paradox has just launched a new expansion called The Horse Lords.

The main selling point is the fact that gamers can now take on the role of the various nomad warlords who frightened Europe for so much of its history.

CK II is the most character-driven of the entire line-up of the company, and the biggest challenge is not to get territory from the Europeans but to make sure that rival clans are kept in check and that the future of nomad conquerors is ensured in the long term.
