Playing Total War: Attila and Fallout Shelter

This weekend, the gaming action will be relatively limited as I plan to spend my time with friends at the seaside, getting in as much swimming and lying in the sun as possible before the season is over, and the big launches of the fall start arriving.

When they are not paying too much attention, I might sneak in a few games of Fallout Shelter, a relatively conservative but engaging title for both iOS and Android that Bethesda has created in order to further promote the universe.

Fallout 4 is one of the games that I am eagerly awaiting for on November 10, and it will be interesting to see whether the developers can surpass the success of Fallout 3 and New Vegas while making sure that they appeal to the same fan base.

I have also been playing a lot of Total War: Attila recently, trying to see why I never managed to love the game as much as I did Rome 2.

The Creative Assembly has created a cool strategy title that portrays the decline of the Roman Empire very well, but the battles feel a little too fast and too unpredictable for my liking.

I will continue to try and find ways for the Western remnant to stay alive in the long term, dealing with both the powerful migrations that are coming from the East and with internal unrest.
