Playing Football Manager 2015 and Alpha Centauri

With the Premier League already playing its second set of matches from the new season and FIFA 16 still one month away from its launch date, I had no option but to re-install Football Manager 2015 in order to play a few seasons with my favorite team, Liverpool.

The community has created player databases that reflect the changes made to the teams during the transfer period, although the window is not yet closed, but there are also some controversial tweaks to stats that some player creations introduce.

I chose instead to play the normal database from the start of the previous season and to try to get Liverpool into the best possible position for the coming Premier League.

Playing Football Manager 2015 feels instantly familiar, but some of the excitement that I usually associate with the title has disappeared and I look forward to learning more about the future of the franchise from Sports Interactive.

Besides enjoying my football sim, I will also spend more time with Alpha Centauri, the classic Firaxis strategy title that has so much to offer that even for a gamer who is very familiar with its mechanics it takes about one full month to get bored of the experience once again.
