Valve confirms that it's now begun the rollout of the eagerly awaited Reborn update for Dota 2 across all regions of the globe. Players will be able to automatically install the patch via the Steam service as soon as possible. The matchmaking system is now available just through the Reborn client.

Dota 2 has been around for several years now, and Valve has released throughout the times many different updates and patches for the game, not to mention new heroes and other such improvements.

Now, the biggest update yet is rolling out worldwide, in the form of the Reborn patch.

The major update finally upgrades the game's engine to the new Source 2 technology. It's already been available as part of the Reborn beta, alongside a new user interface and many other fresh mechanics.

Now, all players will be met with a prompt to transfer and install the new update for Dota 2 if they're connected with the Steam client to Valve's network.

The studio also confirms on Twitter that matchmaking is no longer available in the old client and that it's only possible in the Reborn version.

Expect to see more and more updates and patches for Dota 2's new version in the following days and weeks, as Valve wants to get everything as stable as possible in order to keep fans hooked on the online experience.
