Bungie confirms that it's now officially released The Taken King expansion for Destiny, alongside a small hotfix update across PS4, PS3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360 platforms all around the world.

Destiny came out in September of last year, and since then, developer Bungie has released plenty of free updates, not to mention a couple of premium expansions like The Dark Below and House of Wolves.

Now, the third and final expansion for Destiny, The Taken King, is available for download for all players who bought it, either standalone or through the many different special editions.

The actual DLC went live about an hour ago across most consoles, and Bungie confirms on its website that it should appear for every player across PS4, PS3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360 all around the world.

Besides the actual expansion, a small hotfix update, taking the game to version 2.0.0.2, is also available as a free download.

The patch fixes issues relating to the Collector's Edition of The Taken King, as some players couldn't receive their promised gifts from Bungie. Armor awards are now located in the correct portion of the Postmaster interface, while packages produce the correct item even if you open them using a different class. Those who were already affected by the glitch should now find the correct armor piece.
