Bungie has released two different live action commercials for its upcoming The Taken King expansion for Destiny, promoting it for English-speaking regions but also in Japan. Both ads are quite intense, although the Japanese one is more tongue-in-cheek.

Destiny is set to receive its biggest expansion yet, in the form of The Taken King, next week on September 15 across PS4, PS3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360. As expected, developer Bungie is hyping up the debut of the add-on in all sorts of ways, and it's already rolled out some major changes to the game through update 2.0, in preparation for the DLC.

Now, in order to further promote the experience, not one but two different live action videos have been released.

The first is for the global English-speaking community, depicting a trio of guardians venturing into the new Dreadnaught area included in The Taken King and fighting off against Oryx, the actual monarch that's the main antagonist in the experience.

The second video, and arguably the most hilarious, arrives from Japan and stars actor Ryo Katsuji as he tries to convince two of his friends to join him in Destiny: The Taken King. You can check out his outlandish performance above.

Expect the full debut of The Taken King and most of its new content or features next week, on September 15.
