The game still gets DLCs five years after launch

Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II: Retribution is a stand-alone expansion that was released all the way back in 2011 by Relic Entertainment. Almost five years later, Relic Entertainment decided to release a new DLC called "Ridiculously Bloody Blood Pack."

It seems that releasing DLCs with Halloween themes is something very popular now, so Relic decided that it can enhance one of its older games with something that was missing: more blood. Both Warhammer 40,000™: Dawn of War II and its Retribution expansion have been very successful and people still play them, many years later. The multiplayer part especially is still very interesting and it's easy to find populated servers.

"Thought of the Day: Success is measure in blood; yours or your enemy’s. Indulge your bloodlust as never before! With massively increased frequency and size of blood effects, the Bloodpack DLC brings combat in Warhammer 40,000 Dawn of War II: Retribution to a new level of brutality. Subtlety be damned!" reads the Steam entry.

The funny thing is that they added so much blood to the game that they had to also put a warning which says that in certain situations the blood will block the view and users will have a hard time seeing what's happening. The only way to disable the blood is to uncheck the DLC from Steam so that it's not loaded anymore.

Enjoy!
