See how Ghost's new voice stacks up against the original

A fresh comparison video depicting the original voice for Ghost in Destiny, as played by Peter Dinklage, as well as the new voice work performed by Nolan North, has just appeared online.

Destiny launched back in September of last year, and while it delighted quite a few fans, many were disappointed with certain aspects, from the repetitive gameplay to the lackluster story and even the performance of actor Peter Dinklage as Ghost, the tiny robot companion of the main character.

With the recently released update 2.0 for Destiny, developer Bungie has replaced the voice work performed by Dinklage with a new one made by acclaimed voice actor Nolan North.

The official reasoning is that Dinklage's agenda is hard to work with when it comes to expansions and new Destiny content. In order to provide a sense of continuity, all of Ghost's lines are now delivered by North.

While some recent trailers have shown sequences of North as Ghost, Polygon has just spliced together a comparison video directly showing Dinklage and North in action.

It's pretty clear that Dinklage gave a more nuanced performance, in quite a few cases, while North is a bit more robotic. However, the video also shows that the writing in the main story is still a bit lackluster in many situations.
