Treyarch confirms that it's going to launch first the Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 multiplayer beta on August 19 for the PS4 platform. PC and Xbox One owners will get the online test phase soon after, but a date for them is unclear just yet.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 was revealed to the world earlier this year and, since then, quite a few different details have been confirmed about the new first-person shooter coming from developer Treyarch and publisher Activision.

Among them was the fact that a multiplayer beta stage is going to be organized across PC, PS4, and Xbox One ahead of the game's release in November.

At E3 2015 last month, Treyarch mentioned that the beta will arrive in August and that it will be available first on PS4, and then on PC or Xbox One.

Now, the studio confirms on Twitter that the PS4 Black Ops 3 multiplayer beta is going to begin on August 19.

No start dates were mentioned for PC and Xbox One users, so they'll have to sit tight until more details appear.

Treyarch is set to organize a special panel about its Black Ops 3 Zombies mode at the San Diego Comic-Con this week, so more info should drop at that time.
