14 DAY TRIAL // Action brawlers have a pretty long history, but lately we've seen fewer and fewer titles hit the spot.
Granted, during their heyday, making a fully 3D action-adventure video game was impossible due to technical limitations, which is the main reason stuff like Streets of Rage and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles ruled the arcades, but there's still a niche market to be filled.
Rimlight Studios decided to step up to the challenge with Zheros, a brand new science fiction brawler set in an alternative futuristic universe. It's kind of like a Golden Axe in space that looks like The Incredibles, as you can easily see by checking out the video below.
The game features a vast galaxy to explore, deadly ominous forces to battle, and a ton of combos and guns to use against them. Players will be able to step into the shoes of Mike and Captain Dorian and assist them in their quest to rid the galaxy of the evil Dr. Vendetta.
The gameplay in the video looks a bit slow for a furious brawler, but the devs will surely sort that out in time. The game will challenge players with a multitude of different enemy types and will treat them to an engaging combat system.
Zheros is currently in development, set for release sometime in 2015, on the PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 platforms.
