Shuhei Yoshida, the leader of the Worldwide Studios at Sony, says that the team working on the hardware side of the new PlayStation 4 is creating an improved home console experience for the user.

He tells Edge that, “We’ve been criticised all the time for people having to wait to download patches, or for firmware updates, and we are gamers as well so we know exactly what people have to go through on PS3.”

The process of creating the PlayStation 4 started in 2008 and since then, the team has evaluated feedback from both players and developers in order to improve the device and its set of features.

Sony wants to make sure that players get quick access to content they like, using streaming technology, and they can share their experiences via a new dedicated button on the controller.
