The development team at SEGA has officially announced that it will deliver a new Yakuza title, called Zero, on the Japanese market and on the PlayStation 4 at some point in 2015, and the first trailer for the experience suggests that it will be a dark and realistic affair.

The footage released during the 2014 Tokyo Game Show focuses on the main character, Kazuma Kiryu, who is younger than players have ever seen him, and on his ruthless nature as he works as bill collector.

The development team has promised that the title, which is set in 1988, is designed to use many of the locations and the characters that fans of the series are familiar with and will present them from an entirely new perspective.

The fact that Yakuza Zero will be launched only on the PlayStation 4 allows the developers to deliver a high quality experience when it comes to graphics, and they are saying that the main features of the franchise are all present and improved.

At the moment, the title does not have an official launch window in 2015 and SEGA has not said whether it also plans to offer the experience in the United States and in Europe.
