Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z will feature an appearance from Beck, the main hero of Keiji Inafune's studio Comcept’s Mighty No. 9, the spiritual successor to the Mega Man series.

Although the collaboration between Comcept and Team Ninja was featured in a teaser video in October, the cross-game team-up specifics were not released to the public until now.

The robotic star of Kickstarter success story Mighty No. 9 will be featured in the gory zombie hack and slash game Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z as one of three costumes currently planned for the game.

This is not Inafune’s first time mixing zombies and cartoon robots. According to Polygon, while he was still at Capcom, Mega Man’s outfit was featured a couple of times in the Dead Rising series.

The costume will be available to players as part of a special downloadable content pack, after the game’s launch.

Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z is currently due for a February and March 2014 release for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Windows PC platforms.
