Publisher Tecmo Koei has released a Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z video developer diary in which various devs discuss the game's development process.

The video, titled “Bloody Beginnings,” is the first in a series of diaries the developers plan to make, and it features viewpoints from developers at Team Ninja, Comcept and Spark Unlimited, detailing the multiple teams collaboration effort.

The vid explains how each side brought its own expertise to the table and how all the elements were intermingled in order to provide the best action experience, with complex combat and a strong visual direction inspired by comics.

Mixing both Japanese and Western design philosophies and the creative perspectives of all three teams, Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z is intended to be a game that brings a both familiar and novel experience to all gamers.

Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z is scheduled for release on February 28 in Europe and March 4 in North America, for the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 platforms.
