Vlambeer, the developer best known for creating Ridiculous Fishing, says that it has joined the ID@Xbox program that Microsoft has launched in order to boost indie presence on its home consoles, but it still has some reservations about the conditions.

The team is quoted by GamesIndustry.biz as saying that “ID@Xbox, Microsoft’s somewhat surprising indie initiative, is an exciting development. It’s something we’ve been talking about with Microsoft for a while now and something I feel is a huge leap in the right direction.”

The team then lists a number of the potential problems that the indie program for the Xbox One has and says that Microsoft is willing to change conditions in order to accommodate the needs of developers.

Initially, the company said that it would not allow self-publishing on its new console, but it has since revealed that the Xbox One could actually be used to develop titles.
