Microsoft has denied a report coming from large computer manufacturer Dell, which claimed that all Windows 8 applications would run on the next-gen Xbox One.

Microsoft is getting ready to debut the Xbox One in the very near future and it's confirmed quite a few different features ever since its first reveal in May.

One new feature was posted by Dell yesterday, claiming that Xbox One would run "all your favorite Windows 8 apps."

Microsoft has now dismissed this claim, telling Eurogamer that "The suggestion that all Windows 8 apps run on Xbox One is not accurate."

No other details were given by the company's representative, so it's still unclear just how Windows 8 applications might interact with the Xbox One when the console launches on November 22 in 13 countries around the world.
