Video game hardware maker Microsoft confirms that it plans to launch a new special bundle for its upcoming title Sunset Overdrive, which will include a white Xbox One home console and will probably be offered on October 28, when the normal version of the title will also be delivered to players.

The bundle was initially leaked by an image from a retailer website, but the company has now confirmed its existence to Polygon and says that the bundle will also include other unspecified content for players.

The Xbox One white device was initially created in November 2013 and was only offered to employees of the company as a sign of distinction for their contribution to the launch of the next-gen platform.

Now, the white console will be offered to all players who are interested in getting access to Sunset Overdrive, and chances are that a standalone product will also be introduced at some point in 2015.

The move is probably designed to counter the move from Sony, which will launch a white PlayStation 4 in September and bundle it with a copy of Destiny, a Bungie-made shooter that will deliver exclusive content for the platform.

Sunset Overdrive is created by Insomniac Games and will offer a fast pace multiplayer-focused third-person shooter experience.
