The development team at Microsoft continues its bid to boost sales of the Xbox One by launching a new video associated with the device, which seeks to promote the types of multiplayer-focused experiences that gamers can have when using it.

The footage shows a number of the titles that have been offered on the new platform, while a voice over talks about why being committed to teammates and ready to stand by their side during tough times is what makes a player a true hero.

The message is interesting and aspirational, but it’s unclear how many new players will be attracted to the Xbox One specifically for its multiplayer, given that this sort of experiences tend to be favored by long-term hardcore fans who probably have already bought the device.

At the moment, Microsoft is aiming to boost sales and make sure that at the same time it has enough consoles on hand in order to cover demand in September, when a number of secondary markets are getting access to it.

The Xbox One is lagging behind the PlayStation 4 in terms of sales right now and rumors have suggested that its price might drop to 349 dollars or Euro at some point before Christmas, even if the company has denied that such a move is being prepared.
