Microsoft might expand the interface customization options

The Xbox One might get some more interface customization options soon enough, in the form of transparent tiles, at least judging by the small glimpse at a console menu provided by Microsoft Community Manager Larry Hryb.

The Xbox One came out last year, and at first, it provided very few options of customizing the user interface, as players were only able to choose a different color theme for the menu, and that was about it.

As you can imagine, quite a lot of fans were upset with this decision and assaulted Microsoft with suggestions about allowing them more freedom in regards to how their console menu looked.

The company answered their pleas a few months ago, as through a special firmware update, it enabled them to pick and set images as backgrounds for their interface.

This, apparently, was just a step into a new direction, as the company will soon allow Xbox One owners to also adjust the transparency of their menu tiles so that they can see much more of the background image.

The image above was spotted on Reddit and comes from a Twitch live stream organized by Microsoft Community Manager Larry Hryb. He provided no actual details about the tiles, so it's unclear just when the new feature will appear for regular Xbox One owners.
