Microsoft wants to give players more value for their money

Video game hardware maker Microsoft announces that it is permanently cutting the price of the Xbox One home console in the United Kingdom to 399 British pounds in order to boost sales in the territory and give players more value for their money.

On Twitter, the company explains that gamers will be able to take advantage of the offer starting February 28.

It’s unclear whether the UK price cut for the Xbox One is a sign that Microsoft is thinking about doing something similar in other countries and is testing how the market will react to the lower price.

Since the next-gen consoles from Sony and Microsoft were launched, many analysts have attributed the higher sales of the PlayStation 4 to its lower price.

Microsoft is also reportedly considering launching a version of the Xbox One that will not include the Kinect motion tracking system later this year.
