Microsoft wants to differentiate the console from traditional TV

Microsoft announces that it plans to offer all its National Football League coverage on the new Xbox One home console at 60 frames per second, something that no other content provider can currently deliver to customers.

The move will take place after the company enters a new deal with streaming specialist company Beulion.

Digitaltrends says that Microsoft is looking to make NFL matches and commentary on the Xbox One more attractive than it is on television and also wants players to embrace its new Fantasy app.

The resolution and the framerate that each user will get are connected to the bandwidth and the networking he has in his area.

It’s unclear why Microsoft has chosen to increase the frame rate on the Xbox One rather than try to deliver NLF matches in 1080p resolution.

Ever since the console was announced, the company has explained that it wants it to be a hub of content for users.
